Hi All,

Bringing home our new (to us) boat over the weekend from Punta Gorda, FL to Destin, FL.

We were going to Tarpon Springs, but our delivery slipped twice and we don't have a slip. Expanding our serach to Clearwater and looking for suggestions from anyone with first hand knowledge.

Thx in advance!

Kevin

Clearwater Beach Marina!! Right across the street to the beach. Spent 6 months there, and usually have space, transient slips.

You can get transient at either beach or harbor marina. For permanent expect significant wait at beach. You could probably get in at harbor.

Also check with yacht club. Owner slips but there are owners who sub let their slips. Talk to the dockmaster there, he would know.

Clearwater should have a slip or stop off at
Caladesi Island State Park marina just north of Clearwater. It's $1 a foot for single 30amp but we usally hook up 2 cords. Also get your fuel at River Energy(f and y fuel) on Anclote River before crossing. They have the best price in the area and give a discount for cash purchase. Last week it was 2.89 plus tax for diesel.

I second a stop at Caladesi Island. It's a little skinny getting through the channel so plan arrival at high tide, but a nice place to spend a couple nites.
