Clarion CMD4 - Ipod Integration

I'd like to add an ipod to this stereo head. Not sure if i can get full integration and control through the remote unit at the helm. Any ideas?

Save yourself the trouble and invest in a blue tooth that you can control from your phone or iPod. I have a small speaker with an aux out that I plug into the auxiliary port in the boat but others have used a dedicated unit. I'm sure they will chime in soon.

The CMD4 head unit and its Ipod setup, if its the CMD4a, is about 8 years out of production. The CMD4 does have a pair of rear AUX RCA cables though.
