All,
I am looking at used Signature 230's and 240 Overnighters. I was wondering if anyone on here owns a late 90's 240 and could tell me what the real world trailer tow weight is. I googled and found dry weight around 5200 lbs for the boat, which seems light for a 24 footer.
My tow vehicle is a 2001 Tahoe, rates for about 7200. I would be towing the boat to water instead of slipping.
I prefer the size of the 240 for seating, but wonder if I would be better off with the 230 considering I cannot upgrade tow vehicle at this time.
Owner opinions of each model also welcome. I'm the original owner of a 2000 Bayliner 1850 SS that has never let me down, but I am ready to upgrade to something I can overnight on, and I have always seen good quality from Sea Ray.
