Cruising with Camper Canvas

We run with it up in fall, winter and cool spring days.
Since we have the Hydronic heater it really gets nice a comfy in there.
I do, however, leave a zipper undone between the side window and front STBD side to force in fresh air.

Thanks for all of the replies.

I will be getting an additional CO detector to have in the cockpit with us.

I plan on running with all panels in place except for the center section above the walkthrough.

All,

CO is a little lighter than air ( molecular weight = 28.11, air = 28.966 ) Assuming both gasses are at the same temperature. Not enough difference to make it resist transferring to areas of lower pressure and temperature however.

Trust me on this, I'm a Chemical Engineer.

For all practical purposes it can go anywhere the air does. The fact that some may get exhausted underwater or close to the water surface, can in fact cool the CO to the point where it's temperature becomes cooler than the air.... under these conditions , CO could be be heavier than air (cooler temperature increases the density of a gas).

End point, it's unpredictable and can change depending on environment. Good idea to keep CO detectors in cockpit and cabin. Do not assume that it can not get in your cabin.

Didn't mean to go "nucular" on the subject. Hope that adds some clarity,

regards,

Jeff
