Curtis Camp, at Inlet Watch Marina in Carolina Beach, NC, made this custom camper canvas for our 340. It completely changes the cockpit area. He also put U-shaped zippers in all the isenglass, with screens added to the rear and rear sides. The rear window is large enough to allow docking without taking it down.:smt038:thumbsup:

looks great!! If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost, and how long did it take to make? Where do you store it?

Total cost was $4700. This included the camper canvas, u-shaped zippers (forward isenglass and camper canvas strataglass), stronger snaps for the camper and slant-back canvas, and enlarging the window of the slant-back canvas.

The camper canvas comes out of a track and will store under the seats, but so far we haven't taken it off. I did find out (the hard way) that you have to loosen the stainless steel struts on the starboard side BEFORE raising the engine compartment. On warm days, we roll up the strataglass and have a breezy screened-in room in the back of the cockpit. Makes a huge difference in how the boat feels.

U-shaped zippers in the front are so nice, I no longer remove the front isenglass. This is really nice if it starts raining all of a sudden. No more trips outside the cockpit in the rain!
