In all of the threads I have read about dash (gauge) lights being out, it seems that it is an all or none issue. I was out last night and I had three or four of the gauges that did not light, the rest were fine. Does each of the gauges have it's own light? I'd like to know what I'm chasing before I take the rear helm access panel off.

Thanks.

yes, each one has separate light ant usually they are connected in series gauge to gauge to...
blue wire an back of the gauge is a "+" for light

Yes, each is separately lit, but the lighting wiring is parallel connected.

Charlie,

If the gauges are connected to the harness with a square receptle & plug, and I believe, 4 (6?) pins, then you have the Sea Ray 'Next Gen' gauges. These are sealed units. The gauge lights do share a common common circuit for lighting and the wiring diagram provides the color code for the dash lights. Mine is on the boat, so I can't give that to you now.

The Next Gen gauges are very pricey, a trim gauge from the SR dealer in Medford was something like $ 165.00, so you may want to balance the amount of time you will spend out at night with the cost. Installing a red light to illuminate the dash might be a better and less expensive option.
