Bought 2 new Die Hard Platinum Marine Batteries for my 260 sundancer last year. On my decommission list, I checked off charge/load test/disconnect batteries. The yard never charged me for it, so i assume the work was not done. Last week, went to start the boat and got the dead battery sound. was able to start the boat while plugged into shore power after 30 minutes or so, and got home from Block Island no problem (so I know it's not the alternator).
Also, my battery charger went kaput about 3 weeks ago, but the batteries were not charging for no more than 1 week while I got a replacement charger.
My question, is the yard at any fault here for killing these batteries after 1 season of use and one winter of likely sitting connected?
