Hi, on my smart craft it showed me that a burned 51Gal. (of course a reset it when it was full)
So i put 193 Liters (51 Gal us=193 Liters)
Surprise: I,m only 3/4 tank full !
Is it because it's 51 Gal Imperial? (51Gal imp=231 Liters)
Or the smart craft is not accurate ?

Thank you all for help !

Smarcraft actually does not physically measure the amount of fuel that is consumed. The consumption number is based on a calculation of rpm, number and duration of injector bursts etc. this data is applied against the specs for the engine and a consumption number is calculated. As the engine ages and parts wear out of specification actual consumption will differ from calculated.

Our numbers like Scott's are very close, about 5%, on a 90 gallon fill up.

There may be two things causing such high differences, an issue with the engine that is causing it to run rich, or it may just be the fuel tank calibration, or sending unit.

My fuel gauge is like 18 gallons off. GPH are pretty close but not perfect. I usually look at my gallons used and it's within a a gallon or two on the next fill up.

I know it should be that way... my smart craft shoed me 51gal burned... so i put 193 liters but im still 3/4 tank.... i will fill up again reset smartcraft and check again and get back on this...

I think VesselView is pretty accurate on our boat.

It does require a calibration process which is described in the documentation.

Somewhere before me mine was calibrated, I did not have to go through the steps.
