GREAT Lakes locations

No those festivals are real, Like Charlevoix Venetian Festival, all the boats get lite up with christmas lights and cruz around round Lake and then there's fireworks at night as well.

You guys are making this Left Coaster jealous. I was born and raised in Saginaw and spent summers at our cottage at Point Lookout (5 miles up the shore from Au Gres), the dividing line between Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron.

When I had a 330 Dancer it had been a long dream that after I retired (at the end of last year) my admiral and I were going to tow it back to the Grand Haven area and spend an entire summer touring Lakes Michigan, Huron, Superior and the North Channel/Georgian Bay areas.

Now that I've upsized that dream can no longer happen, but I can still enjoy the fantastic pics you guys post, so don't stop.

There's a Venetian Nights thing on Lake Fenton (thank god I'm away from that lake now!!) where they decorate the boats as well as a Christmas in July where people decorate their homes with all kinds of lights and take "booze cruises" around to look at them.

I'm thinking someone needs to start a festivals to attend on the GREAT Lakes thread. I know that if my Mega Millions or Powerball tickets ever come through I'd spend an entire summer skipping from town to town on the water eating deep fried pickles and Snickers, elephant ears, corn dogs, and whatever other carnie food there is! Of couser I'd spend November recovering from by-pass surgery, but none the less it would be a GREAT summer of GREAT memories on the GREAT Lakes.

Hey go first class did you lnow there is a hooters next to pier 7 marina on the saginaw river now? Its right where the 3rd st bridge used to be. By the way 3rd st bridge colapsed a few years ago also and the factories have been removed that lined the rivefront. Also a nice marina on the other side of hooters,Liberty harbor, municipality run though.

ahoy mates

We are in Centerpointe Marina located in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Essentially this is the channel that connects the bay of Green Bay with the big lake. The western side of Door County is our main hang-out (Chambers Island, Sister Bay, Fish Creek), but hope to make the trek over to beautiful MI this year. Always wanted to do in the past but wanted a bigger boat before we went (wifes!).

highly recommend the Bay!

Welcome to the thread ,theres no place more beautiful than michigan.

Hi folks!

Bay Harbor Marina here on beautiful Presque Isle Bay in Erie, PA. We love the option of either running on Lake Erie or, when the lake is gnarly, in the quieter confines of the bay formed by the Presque Isle peninsula. On the bay-side, there are several inlets which will also accommodate our 330DA. All in all, a great boating location .... But aren't they all?

The admiral and I are slipped in Saugatuck on Lake Michigan's southwest coast. Speaking of festivals, the saugatuck venetian festival is the last weekend of July, and on that Sat (7/30) we are throwing a dock party. Myself, along with "berth control" from this group, and one other neighbor have hired dualing pianos to come play on the dock until dusk. At dusk there is a boat parade followed by fireworks and more music. If anyone wants to join us, pm me and I'll give you details as well as some close places to dock. If your under 34-36', we can prolly fit you in at our docks for the evening for free. Otherwise, there are transient docks within walking distance for reasonable rates.

Were out of Green Bay WI, (You know, the super bowl champions) Keep out boat at the Green Bay Yacht Club. Just came back from a four day weekend that included Beautiful
Lealand MI. and door county WI. Great time, Great places, Looking forward to Labor day weekend.
