I just found this board and I am quite happy there's a forum just for Sea Ray owners.

I just purchased a 1984 Sea Ray Sundancer about three months ago and have been doing alot of work on it before using. Today I finally got to take it out for a few minutes and enjoyed every minute of it.

Here's some pics of it. The first two you will see how nice she seems to be coming back. The TABITHA was the old graphic which I changed to CARD SHARK.

Biggest problem I had was resolving the speed issue as it was only going about 3000 rpm and 11mph. After some tuning of the engine, a new prop, and removing some unwanted weight, its now running around 25mph.

Welcome to CSR!!! You will want to complete your signature with year, model, motor, etc of your boat. This will help when asking questions. Again welcome to the board.

DeBlasi,

Welcome to the board. You'll find lots of good stuff here.

Welcome to the club...............NICE clean lookin S/R. Love the teak interior.

Where in the beach do you keep her ?

Over at Shellbank Marina in Howard Beach. And thank you for the teak compliments. I knew the owner who had it since 1984. The engine was rebuilt last year and cosmetically was decent. But he didnt keep up with the detailing hence the teak was so faded, some wiring was old and frayed, fiberglass lost its lusture, and seats had alot of dirt caked in. Little by little though she seems to be coming back real nice. I really like the fact that nothing was altered.
