Hifi Upgrade

Nice setup!
Are those Infinity's designed for outdoor/marine use?

Sorry responding so late with a more complete answer.

The forward center channel is an Infinity home theater speaker for use indoors. Just like a Home Theater system the front channel is by far the most important. My last boat has its now 9 year old home speaker sitting/cranking on its dash.

The others are Mobile Infinity's that I painted grill's in marine white. I used the mobile drivers for several reasons. First, the factories that make marine speakers for the most part make a better mobile driver. Several of the better quality companies have a mobile separates with the 24 db/oct cross-overs. A tremendous upgrade in sound if one cares. I also have a preference for the sound of Infinity in this quality/price range. I also use the same drivers throughout the boat and have achieved a nice blend (Front Stage / Rear Fill).

If one uses mobile drivers they would have TONS of choices. Marine dedicated speakers limits choices and I think may be somewhat over-rated. If you would like I would be happy to let you know how to pick a mobile driver for marine use that last for ???. I have 9 years experience pounding 6 Inch separates with huge amplifiers and no issues.
