I have a 2011, 260 Sundeck where the vinyl is splitting at the piping seam on one of the seats. The split is about 8" long and I was thinking of removing the seat to take to one of the vinyl repair shops near me but am unsure on how to do this. On the sundeck, the aft seat (couch like seating facing aft) is attached to the giant engine cover. I'd need a crane to get that off so I'm thinking that the each seat cushion is attached somehow and it'd be a simple (yeah, right) task of unscrewing or unbolting the panel and just taking that in to the vinyl person.
The split is at the piping the cuts right through the middle of the horizontal part of the seat. I was thinking of using some VLP instead to get me through the season and then I'd have the winter to figure out a fix.
I have another one on the starboard bow cushion but that's simple to take off and that one is a much smaller split that I think the VLP will work on for the time being.
Thanks for any help!
