I am wondering what the experience / preference of others is in setting I/O trim for docking or other close quarter maneuvers and why that trim setting is preferred.
I have twin Bravo IIIs and seem to recall reading somewhere that full "down trim" provides maximum "bite" and therefore best for close quarter maneuvering. It seems to me, however, that a neutral trim (i.e., prop shaft parallel to the water surface) provides better control of thrust.
Thoughts?
