I am looking at a used 1996 330 da with 454 V drive inboards, and have noticed the port output shaft is not centered coming out of the stuffing box. It is not rubbing on the stuffing box, but by eye I can see that is closer to the top of the opening than the bottom. The starboard side looks OK. The boat has not been in the water in over a year. The broker says it needs an engine alignment once it gets in the water. Both propellers turn OK by hand,. The boat has dripless shafts. Nothing looks visually wrong with the strut or the shafts. A survey a year ago didn't report any issues.
