Is it wise to upgrade or get into boating at this time?

Living within a means, to me, anyway, means that you dont put the new flat screen on a credit card. If I cant pay cash for it (I am speaking of course on minor expenditures) then I probably shouldnt buy it on a card.

I know I know...had a very bad experience on an airplane when I was 12 into JFK. That was it for me. We drive EVERYWHERE. For our honeymoon, we drove to Aspen and back over 2 and half weeks. My wife as well doesnt much care for flying, and we both love to drive and be tourists ( I got to see 2nd largest ball of string!!!)

We're saying the same thing about living within your means.


When I was a kid we drove everywhere for vacation. I have been in 46 of the 48 contiguous states. I have seen lots of balls of string. We also were almost knocked off the side of a mountain by a tour bus. I just don't have the patience for it anymore. The 240 mile drive to our condo is about all I can stomach.

My grandfather on my mom's side...total Sicilian guinea from the old country would do this.

:lol: It wasnt much money, he was a milkman, then worked for dmv driving documents until he died. However, he also had absolutely no debt whatsoever.

I miss the dood, he was such a character. He had a story for everything, and especially loved to talk about ww2. We always listened to him. Talk about a man proud to serve this "greatest country in the world who would let a man like me in and let me be the man I want to be- free and proud."
