Do you wakeboard? Im so curious to actually hear what the throw of the speakers are when boarding, and if you can really hear it.

On wakeboarder.com, there was a thead about this subject...half said they love it and could hear them clearly, and others said they suck and would rather get the ipod waterproof case and headphones. It didnt seem to matter the brand of speakers (people had both top of the line and crappy but this didnt seem to matter as it was not split in this way).

I just got mine done also you can check them out in my thread. cost about 1,000 to throw in a battery pack wire tower speakers , wire amp and throw in the strobe lights with custom brackets in the tower also. And depending on your speakers you can hear them way behind the boat.

It's true that the brand of speakers is important, but probably more important is the type/power of the amps and how they are wired (good, heavy gage wire).

Yes the brand of speakers do count. Wetsounds is a great brand if your in the market check them out and i went with a fostgate amp, as you already know in the amp market there are plenty to choice from ,jl audio, alpine, fostgate etc.. but the you cant say enough for quality of your setup
