Kohler 5E Generator and A/C Problems

All fixed. I cleaned out everything on the A/C line up to the pump and I didn't find anything. It magically started working again. The generator was a trashed impeller. I popped a new one in and she worked like a champ. After all said and done my VacuFlush toilet stopped working!!! I will have to read up on this guy. Thanks for ALL The assistance and all the other posts I read about replacing the impeller, etc. You guys are AWESOME! :) :) :)

Did you get ALL the broken bits of impeller out of there? If not they have a way of coming back to haunt you when it's most inconvenient. Don't ask how I know that. (Damn PO) :smt021 MM

I check all the way up to the heat exchanger. I don't think I got 100% unfortunately. I think some small pieces may be further in the heat exchanger and beyond if possible. The flow of water out the side seemed "normal" so I just let it go. We shall see!

Glad it all worked out. Great to troubleshoot and fix items yourself, no? Keep a spare impeller for the Genny in your onboard supply list, never know when you might need it in all that heat down there while at anchor.Wish I was there now.

Vaccuflush trouble, huh? Now that's a sh*tty job, no thanks.

Keep an eye on the output as those peices move a lot and can cause a blockage later. I am going to have to clean mine before I use it as the PO didn't. He just replaced the impeller
