Hello all. I'm looking to switch my 12 volt cabin lighting over to LEDs (reading lights, small flush mounts). Has anyone done this? If so, where did you get them and what was the model number? I've checked several lighting sites, but not sure if the bulbs i've seen will fit. Thanks

There are a bunch of threads on this topic - which you can search. In the meantime, check out www.superbrightleds.com. I've recently switched all of my bulbs over to LEDs.

You really need to open up each fixture to see what type of bulb is in it and what is the orientation of the bulb. But Superbright - has everything you need.

Ditto with SuperBrightLights.com. Just completed a complete changeover of cabin lighting with LED's from this sight.

Thanks for getting back to me, guys. The bulbs I want to replace are all G4's 12 volt, 10 watt, halogen/xelogen. They are in the swivel fixtures (reading lamps) and the flush mount ceiling fixtures. Have you guys replaced these bulbs? Did you go with cool white or warm white? I've been to the superbrightleds.com website but it's hard to tell by just a picture.

After reading another post by 1stSearay on this site

I went with the bulbs from www.ledwholesalers.com out of CA. Arrived in about a week (had to clear customs coming into Canada). I went with the warm white version of the G4 and the cool white for the arch 42mm festoons. On my boat the bulbs were the same as in the post and he put pictures of his before and after which sealed the deal for me.

If the swivel fixtures on your boat are the same as mine (tan with a frosted white shade) then these would work. That's what I put in mine. http://www.ledwholesalers.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=438

Bridog, those are the same bulbs I got for my 1997 330 "reading" lights in the cabin (9 of them). They are off white swivel lights with a shade that is frosted oval with a clear front. (Maybe a SeaRay standard for a few years?)

Thanks again, everyone. All of your replies were very helpful. Going to order the bulbs today!
