I talked to Val today and she said they will have some openings this year in the over 30 range, but nothing in the under 30 range. I was surprised with the economy the way it is, that is all that will be available.

good one Larry...will sleaze by w beer one of these days this spring...I'm mostly a weekend boater...but if the economy doesn't improve soon...there maybe more golf (patterson club) and boating in my future!:smt038:smt038:smt038...financial services just isn't what it was...back in the day lol

We have made several trips up to the "Islands" and the Long Island Sound. Have gone from Cape May to Newport. The pool issue puts a crip in the plan. We stayed in Mystic Seaport, it was great. After the Seaport closes you are still there it is great in the evening. You may wish to look into membership, they give discounts on dockage for members. Newport is fabulous, it is a great place with plenty to do for several days. We found Port Jeffereson to be interesting again no pool but there is plenty to do in the city there. I have been to Essex twice, nice place, but not for kids. The trip up and down the Connecticut River took an hour each way, a lot of no wakes zones and a railroad bridge that opens on its schedule. Have not been to Montalk so I can not comment on it, but people tell me its nice. A nice marina for a stop over was in Port Washington, the old Brewer Capri, they have a pool, but not close to town.

A real nice family place is Clinton CT. There is a pool for the kids, a ship store and a restaurant. Its one of my favorite placed to go to. You should plan to be there for one night.
