Boat: 1984 Sea Ray SRV 270DA - new to me
Power: 454, 330 hp closed cooling system with B/W tranny and TR drive

Issue: Just finished a 2 night, 3 day journey from Rhode Island to Newburyport. All was well running various speeds - best cruising was 3200 rpm on plane. On last leg went to throttle up and shifter hits dash and only goes to 2800 RPM. In neutral engine revs nice and smooth past 4000. Checked prop and discovered I lost zinc fin on the way. No obstructions (fishing line or rope). I can turn prop by hand with no noises. No strange smells or noises coming from the outdrive under way. Any thoughts on this?? Mechanic is looking it over this week.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Check your fuel filter, I would bet you have water in it...
