Hey Everyone,

We are looking at the 2003 280 Sundancer. Speaking with the listing agent the owner stated the risers/manifolds have never been replaced. I have heard this should be done every 4-5 years when in salt water. The boat has twin 4.3L Merccruisers. Anyone have an idea on cost to have them replaced?? I might want to edit my offered price if this is something that is overdue and highly expensive. Thanks in advance.

I have a 4.3 in my 2001 sundeck... My are original too... I am looking at around $1,000 in parts... If you have a marina do, I would think it would cost around $3,000 - $4,000 for both engines...

Is it a difficult job to do it yourself? is it better to do it when you put it for storage/winterization?

I paid a marina to do my 340's because I round three bolts and I did not want to try my easy outs and make things worse... It can be easy, but on a 310 it is tight...
