Just thought I'd pass this on.

I keep my boat at Chesapeake Yacht Club. It's located in Shady Side, MD, on the West River. I love that place. It's got a pool, restaurant, fuel/pumpout, nice grounds, and a nice view. To put the location in perspective, the place is 2 hours away from Solomon's, Cambridge, Rock Hall, and Baltimore. Annapolis, St. Michaels, and Tilghman Island are about an hour, more or less, away. If anyone is looking for a place to keep their boat, you might want to consider bringing her here. There are still some slips available.

Larry, although it is a bit too far for my homeport, I would like to conduct a site visit like we discussed last year. My wife is counting the minutes until boating season starts again, something about her sanity and me trapped in the house...

We've been to Chesapeake Yacht Club.
A very nice place. The people are very friendly.
The pool is nice and they have a great lounge area.

On more thing Larry did not mention is that this part of Frog Mortar Creek is a hurricane hole and very well protected.

I do love that place. Half the time we don't even take the boat out. We just hang and "chillax."

Todd, we do have to do some boating this year. When's that pirate thing this year? The one in Rock Hall?

Walts, the last hurricane that rolled through here just raised the water levels. There was no wind damage to any of the boats. The dockmaster and a couple of volunteers worked the lines overnight. We had some popped planks and some soaked dock boxes, but that was it.

SeaHarley, next time you're around, look me up. I'm on Middle Dock.

Hey Walts -

I believe you are referring to Chesapeake Yachting Center (on Frog Mortar Creek) and not Chesapeake Yacht Club. We used to be "High-N-Dry" at the Yachting Center before moving a little further up Frog Mortar to Long Beach.

SeaHarley, assuming I'm not out boating, I'll be the guy mixing martinis off the back of my boat. I think I make rum drinks , too, though I can't be sure.
