Need exact length specs for 2008 185 with trailer.

Hi all! I need to get the exact Total Overall length including the trailer (Hitch rotated full 90 degrees) for a 2008 Sea Ray 185 and the total overall width at the widest points (either the trailer wheel wells or the boat beam). Need this to see if the boat and trailer will fit in may garage.

Welcome to the board, you will want to put your boat information in your signature (year, model, motor).

On the 185 sport you are looking at 8 feet 1 inch wide and 21 feet long (this is with the out drive down as far as I can get it without touching).

So what is the exact length of just the 185 sport without the trailor? I need to know for the dry storage. I know it will be very close to the 20'6" length, but dont have an exact measurement. If it is 20'6" or less, it costs about 400.00 less than if it is 20'7" or longer.

According to my owner's manual, overall length with standard swim platform is 19 feet 8 inches.

Yeh, but the outdrive sticks out further than the swim platform.

I need to check when I get home - it seems to me that the back of the prop is pretty close to flush with the edge of the swim platform. Even if does, I can't believe that its close to the 10" give you have to lose the $400 discount.

I dropped a rope with a weight off the bow, and measured from there to the end of the prop and got right at 20'6", but I was measuring by myself, and it may not have been tight.

I know, but I did not start the thread, I just need the length of the boat. I did not want to start another thread. I did a search and this was the closest thing I could find to what I needed.

I have never had anyone question the lenght that exactly for storage. My winter storage inside unheated is $275 and heated is $550 for my 220SD. I would guess with your drive down the swim platform is past the end of your drive.

At least on mine it doesn't extend past when the drive is full trim down. Trailering position is a different story.

Boat should be stored with the drive down to keep the bellows from taking set and splitting prematurely.
