Hi all,

We are having the interior of our 1991 270 DA reupholstered. I am pulling out the pieces and taking them to the upholsterer but I am have trouble with a part of the dinette and I am hoping that someone here has already figured this out.

The piece that I am having trouble with is the upholstered section of the dinette that is hung on the port side and is just under the stereo and runs forward and wraps the corner. This is also the part that the table hooks to for stability.

I have all the rest of the dinette off but just can figure this one out.

Thanks,

Gerald

Ok so I figured it out after a bit more digging around. It turns out that there is a screw behind the wood strip. The strip that is there is used to hook the table to wall to stabilize and keep the it from wobbling. It's goona cause me more work then I had planned but no choice there. You need to remove that strip, drill out the plugs covering the covering each of 4 screws and remove screws. Remove the single screw that was covered by this strip and it should now be free from the boat.

I guess there gonna be a little bit of wood work to put it back together.

Please post some pics when you are done....I'd like to see the results....thanks.

Here are some photos of the new interior.

Wouldn't you know just as you get it all where you want it, its time to sell, and start work on a bigger PROJECT boat. oh well that's how it goes I guess. here is a link to the boat ad.

Wow looks great. I am just starting to get the fever for a Sedan Bridge but am going to hold off for a few years at least.

Nice job, that looks great! We have exactly the same model and color as you, and we reupholstered a couple of years ago. Had to get rid of that salmon/mauve original material. What ever were they thinking!?! Good luck selling. I wish we were ready to move up as nice boats around here are selling for insanely cheap prices, but we're still a few years from making the jump.
