My first weekend out on my new 05 420DA and I had two people slip down my teak steps on their way into the cabin. These things are treacherous! I cant be the only one that has had this issue. Any creative non hokey solutions your can share. Clear non-skid tape? Help!

I would just buy a new boat.......Kidding aside.....Is it the teak itself that is slippery or the layout of the first step......I went on yachtworld to look and it seems that first step is almost 3/4 of a step and each step is narrow......Could you fabricate a similiar hand hold railing on the right side as on the left.........I would hate to wreck the teak, but safety comes first.....
