hey all -
New guy here from south east Virginia. First IO boat owner but not first boat.
Not counting the bass rigged John boats from the past, I had (about 8 years ago) a sweet deal. A coworker decided to buy a brand new Century center console without consulting his wife. The divorce followed as a result and he came to me saying, " Don, I am going to do a volluntary repo on the boat so If you want it here is the bank notes. Pay on it as long as you want to then call them to come get it when you dont want it anymore. Why I dont have it any more is a longer story for another thread but I LOVED that boat and especially the full warranty and free service that came with it. Now... I have to learn about IO so I can work on this thing.

BTW - Still very much the greenhorn

Welcome. That's a different route to boat ownership.

For Gary's reference, are you only the manly or sissy part of the bay?

Best regards,
Frank C

I not too sure which is the manly and which is the sissy but I will say that I put in a Bubbas in Va beach which splits the Atlantic and the Chespeake Bay right at the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel. SO it is easy to choose between boating either the Ocean or the "nOcean" hehe

He's in the manly part of the Bay... The sissy part of the Bay is from Solomons Island northward... also called the "Chesapeake River"

Based on the grammar/spelling, I'd say it's deep Virginia. Banjos anyone?......

Oh...and welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard. As Frank C said for interesting way to boat ownership. Thanks for putting your boat info in your signature section.

Yeah, I wish I could have kept that boat. Now I have a SR 200 overnighter that I need to replace part of the floor since it sat side ways on a slight hill and a storm ripped a hole in the cover last winter and I didnt notice it until spring. Hmm funny what water will do to a wood floor after sitting on it and carpet for 3 months. And now I dont have up trim and the needle is pegged to UP as of last week. Thanks to this site I now know what the problem is. Fixing it on the other hand is nerve racking.

oops... wrong quote in previous message... Be easy on a forum rookie.

WOW, my idiot side is coming out... that IS the right quote. OK, guess I better go back to work then.
