Hello Everyone,
I'm the proud owner of a vintage 1974 SRV240 Weekender. Just purchased this past weekend. It's a beautiful old boat and has been well cared for over the years. My family and I are looking forward to some great times on the water with it.
Curious to know if there are any manuals available for this boat? I've looked some on the net and on the Sea Ray site but nothing for anything this old.
Luckily it's nearly 100% complete and in great shape but I'd still like to find some info on it if possible.
We're also looking for the frame work so we can have a full cabin canvas made for the boat for some overnighters this summer. Not sure if that was an option for this boat or not but figured some one out there would know.
Well, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'll look forward to hearing from you and appreciate any information you can give me on this great old classic I now own.
We can't wait to get her in the water.

Talk to you soon.

Welcome aboard Scott, I'm sure some of the Vintage Owners will chime in as you ask your questions. Make sure you post your boat info in the signature sections. It will make it easier to answer your questions.

Again welcome aboard.

Hey Scott, how's it going..? Hey you didn't say where you are from In Michigan..... We're here in Swartz Creek Michigan near Flint.
Congrats on the SRV what an awesome boat that must be....

Thanksfor the warm welcome everyone. I'm sure I'll enjoy talking with you all about our wonderful hobby.

We are located in Buchanan, MI. We're in the Southwest corner of the state over by St. Joe. We have a place on Lake of the Woods in Decatur, MI and plan to keep the boat there most of the time. However, we are close to Lake Michigan so we'll be dropping her in there from time to time as well. We're even talking about once we get comfortable with the boat and how it runs, taking a trip to Chicago (probably along the coastline) to my sisters place up in Lake Bluff. They have an awesome harbor in Waukegon just north of her place.

I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get it home and cleaned up. I do have some but they're of the poor thing sitting out in the snow in Illinois. We're trying to head up there this weekend and pick it up if the weather coorperates. We're also trying to track down a good trailer if anyone knows of one.

Thanks again for the replies and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better.
I think we're going to have a lot of fun with this boat.

Scott

Scott,

Welcome to the board. the old SRV's are great boats. I know you'll enjoy her!

As for a trailer, try Craigslist. You just might find a decent used trailer.
