We found a great deal on a brand new 2007 220 Sundeck with a 5.7 MPFI and bravo III. The boat was never run, had 0.7 hours on it (due to set-up time) and is beautiful. It has a pearl colored hull with blue bimini, covers and trailer w/ mag rims. I was a little leary on not having the colored hull (we really wanted the new burgandy) but she looks great, especially on the water. I love the lines of the 220 sundeck with the perl hull. It makes the boat look classy! Once I get some pic's, I will post them ASAP. The issue that I am having is that we purchased the boat in Ohio and need to register it in Michigan. As soon as this is resolved (hopefully this Friday) we will be out on the water. Maybe some pic's in the driveway are in order until I have something better! I can't wait to run her!

Congrats on the new boat and welcome to the board! You;ll find lots of helpful information here. I thought I wanted the colored hull also but got such a great deal on mine in just the pearl I took it. Now I wouldn't change as I agree with you an dthe classic look. ( but if the right deal came along I certainly wouldn't be opposed to colored.. :smt001) I know you'll enjoy the new boat! let's see the driveway pics!

I might add (since there is the thread going on also about issues wth a new delivery) is to keep a list with any problems or concerns that you have. I had a relatively issue free delivery but still found that the things to have taken care of were more than I could keep in my head.

Congrats on the boat, you will be happy you don't have the Cinibar color when you stratch the boat for the first time (trust me you will).

As Larry&Leisa said start making a list of all the things you find wrong I would be very surprised if you didn't find anything. You have 1 year from purchase to have them fix it for free.

Happy Boating!

Here she is. It's about to rain in Michigan now so I couldn't get a pic. without the covers on. Maybe tomorrow!

Thanks! I love this boat. I was surprised how fast she will run (almost 60 on the speedo). Is this normal for this boat with a 350 bravo III?

I have found a few things wrong although they are very minor. I'll run her through the summer and continue to find other little things so I have a good list in the winter for them to fix.

One question: who here trailers their 220 sundeck and what do you pull her with? I have a 2007 Trailblazer and it pulls her fine except the 10 MPG that I am getting! WOW! When I pulled my little 180 Sport I was getting 14.5 MPG. What a difference!

I agree! The classic look is very nice. I actually got mine for $10,000 less than the ones with a colored hull and I have the upgraded engine (300 hp and bravo III), upgraded trailer w/ mag wheels! You can paint a boat for ~$2000 but it will cost you a lot more to upgrade the engine & trailer (not that I would paint my boat)! The only thing that it doesn't have that I really want is the Corsa exhaust! The dealer quoted me $1500 OTD and I could have it anytime. Maybe next year.

I tow my 200 Sundeck with a Tacoma V6 rayed for 6500lbs. Not sure what you trailblazer is rated for but I would look into that. Seems you may be giving your Trailblazer quite the workout or at the very least be close to your limit. My 200 Sundeck is around 5K with fuel trailer and neccesarry gear.
Just something to look at.
350 Mag BIII moves her right by the sounds of it:wow:...SOunds like fun! Enjoy!

Our Trailblazer is rated for 6500 lbs. I think it is getting quote a workout also, but I can't afford to upgrade her at this time. I think the 220 Sundeck is like 500 lbs. more than the 200 sundeck so we are getting close to the limit with gear and fuel. I guess it's time to install an aux. trans cooler and maybe an oil cooler as well. Wouldn't hurt to add one of those aluminum cooling covers for the axle. Oh well, at lease I can get down the road!

I agree, but no worries there. The trailer has 4 wheel disk breaks! It stops better than my 180 did (no trailer brakes).

I think you will be fine. The other thing you have going for yourself is that Michigan is very flat. No hills to fight. I had a problem after a few years and it was grease on the discs. I don't think they got hot enough to burn off like a car would. A little disc cleaners and the problems went away.

If you get into wakeboarding you may want to think about trim tabs. I added them 2 seasons ago and it was worth every penny.

Funny you should mention trim tabs. I installed a set of smart tabs last weekend and all I can say is WOW! I had them on my 180 sport and they made a world of difference. But on my 220 SD, they are incredible! The boat cuts through 2-3 foot waves at 40 MPH without any issues! Another ++++++++ for smart tabs! She will plane around 8-10 MPH even with a full load in the back (4 adults)! I haven't had a chance to test them out at top speed (60 MPH or so) but I would venture to say that they will perform equally as well! I even noticed an improvement in fuel consumption (say 15% better). At this rate, the things will pay for themselves!
