I am Hoping someone can help me out
Installed a Brand new Stereo unit on the bridge ( replaced to old one) with 2 brand new speakers and a 1000 watt amp.
The problem I am having is every time I shut the unit off a get a load "thump" through the speakers.
This has only happened AFTER I installed the amp, didn't have an amp before. so I know it has to do with the amp but what is making this happen?
Did I wire something wrong?
Thanks
Scott

Is the amp connected to a trigger wire on the head unit? Just wondering. That thump is not an uncommon problem, and one common solution is simply to turn the volume down on the system before you turn it off. Google search for "amp thumps when turned off" for a LOT of discussion/information on the issue.

Sounds like the amp is turning off at the same time as the head-unit. You need to make sure the amp's turn-on trigger is coming from the head-unit's blue REM wire.
