oil pan changeout or plug tighten

2000 sundeck210, I see oil drip from drainplug area on pan. Is reaching the drain plug to tighten possible? If I need to change oil pan is this possible without pulling engine out. Thanks

Usually possible to reach - more than likely will have to do strictly by feel. May have to take some things out the way, first.

Change oil pan while in boat? No. Sorry. Guess what I just did over the winter? :smt089

I'm hearing there is a problem with 4.3's having pan gaskets leaking. I know of 3 that have had to be replaced. Anyone hearing same?
