What causes outdrive corrosion??
I was told it mainly happens when the boat is moving, or when someone docked around you has a power cord in the water.

In bracish water, is there a risk of additional, significant, corrosion over the winter months??

I have never heard... "mainly happens when the boat is moving". That is not the case.

A power cord in the water has the potential to be a problem but by no means is it all you have to worry about when it comes to stray current.

As far as the winter months...time is the issue not temperature. These two sites should answer any question you have at this point. They were a GREAT starting point for me.
