Hello out there. Does anybody know if SeaRay makes a wrench to fit the shaft packing nut for V-drives (mine is a Borg Warner trans.). Maybe somebody has a differant wrench or knows how to make one that will work in such a tight space. I use channel locks but it"s a job.
Thanks Y-Knot

You can pick one up at West Marine or probably any good Marine store. Ask for a stuffing box wrench. If your replacing the stuffing...good luck..it is a pain. Rich

My boat is very different from yours but the wrench WM sells is too small for my application. I believe the jaws open up to 3 1/4" and mine is just a tad larger. I bought a cheap arse huge pipe wrench for this job. Works for my straight drives but you won't have room to swing a pipe wrench under a v-drive.

Don't you have dripless?
