Just thought I'd throw a few of these out there. Admittedly we didn't take any of the wildness at night. Wayne, go next door and use the neighbor's wifi connection. Sorry for pic quality. Some are from my iPhone.

Nice. I have about 300 pics from the trip. I'm at work now, may add a few tomorrow.

Cool. We did a horrible job of taking pics. Our small pocket camera got wet and is toast and we didn't fee like carrying the big one around much.

You almost got a picture of me: I was on Crew's Nest B Dock, two boats beyond the twin 55 Sundancers.

The "ship on the bluff" is owned by a dock neighbor of ours. (he and his son technically) They own and operate auto dealerships in Sandusky OH. The bridge is from the decommissioned Benson Ford freighter. It was transported to the island by barge when the ship was scrapped. The original owner intended to make it a B&B, but it never panned out. The current family bought it at auction and use all 7,000 sq ft of living space as a private cottage.

RollerCoastr - we pulled back along that dock and probably spun around right next to you. Were you behind the blue one on the right or the black one to the left? We went down along the blue one but I was too busy paying attention to how shallow the water was and how much sea "grass" I was getting into. I started to think, oh god, I'm gonna lose power if this stuff gets sucked into my intakes and wouldn't it be great to start the weekend off by having the wind blow my anchor right into the side of a $900,000 boat?? So, sorry if I did get a better look around.

I started to worry about that grass after realizing running the generator on the mooring balls is not a good idea. Sucked into my strainer and shut it down.

You got me! I was in front of that hard-top Silverton. There's more water there than it seems, but your concern over weeds is legit. I don't have much issue with the grass. What gets me are those "green cotton ball" things. (they look slimey, but they're not) They don't make it past the grate on the thru-hulls to get into the strainer, so after mid-August or each year, I rarely leave PIB running both engines running. (that stuff is the reason I carry multiple spare impellers) I've more-or-less mastered the 1-engine technique, so I haven't lost an impeller in a very long time, but I'm thinking that cutting the thru-hull grates out would be a better (and less stressful)strategy.

We joined Cincy for a few days in our 290...good time. Here is some more pics from the weekend:
