I towed my 185 w/4.3L for 8 yrs with my '00 4.7L Tundra w 245 HP with the towing pkg(similar to '05 and newer V6 (236HP) Tacomas) with no issues(my GVWR is 11,800 I think, not sure what the Tacomas are.). In fact, I always had to keep checking my mirrors just to make sure it was back there still! It always felt like it wasn't even there. (my 210 Select's a whole different matter, I know it's there from the get-go - I'm thinking of upgrading to the newer Tundra with the 5.7L Motor but until I do, it's handling it ok, I just don't set any speed records getting up to 55 mph, although it does get there fairly quickly, considering the load!)
I'm not sure about the ridgeline, last I knew, it could only do light tow packages like pop-up campers and small motorcycle trailers as it's max tow ratings weren't that high.

Ah, you're prob. right. I get all those G*R ratings mixed up. I only check it, when I have to figure it out.I'm about 143% sure you mean GCWR... a GVWR near 12,000lbs we're talking about F-350 / 3500HD DRW ratings
