Raymarine C70

I just downsized from my 40 MY to a 2003 340 dancer. My 2007 E 120 had no problem with my updated charts. The C-70 won't accept my updated Navionics chart. I am assuming the old unit just can't handle the new information. Can anyone confirm? I am trying to avoid a complete electronics overhaul. If I change the MFD, I assume I need to change out the Radar as well? Any advice is appreciated.

Can't answer you about the Navionics chart but can verify that any new MFD would require a new digital array, so you'd have to switch it out. Also, from my understanding, the MFD and the array need to be the same brand. Might be wrong there.

That's why I left my big chunky RL80c and installed a Garmin beneath it.

I would recommend that you go to the Navionics website and check your card for compatibility with your C70. Most Navionics Platinum cards will not work with the C70 MFD.
