Removing DVD player

Any tips for removing the stock DVD player absent a crowbar? It's got a plastic plate around it that I don't want to break just yet.

Don't mean to be a smart aleck, but have you read the installation manual?

If it's a KEC, remove the plastic surround - it just pops off, and then use the two "keys" in each side to trip the latches and it will slide right out. Don't have the keys? The replacement DVD player should come with two that will work.

I recall I Googled "removing DVD player" or something like that and got the whole enchilada. I may have posted something about it here with a picture of the keys...
