Hi my name is Paul
I just got my hands on a 1985 6.3 Seville (M/C) Sea Ray. Its in pretty good condition but want to bring it back to the way it was. Have to replace engine. He didn't winterize so you know how that went. Anyway having trouble finding pics of that year boat inside and out. Does anyone know where I might find pics so I can restore it back to its Beauty or close to it. I know and see i will have to upgrade electronics. But any advice is very welcome.

Welcome to CSR
You had better quit posting as you have a ton of work to get to
Sea Ray website has an archives section, not sure if they'll have what you need though

The Sea Rays of that vintage were prone to rot in the transom, floors and stringers if not properly maintained. You may want to get those areas checked for rot and moisture before proceeding too far on your project. If you’re not sure how to do this search for a Marine Surveyor in your area.

Thanks NorCal Boater;
I had it checked out and all is well. But thank you for bringing that up. Its easy to over look those areas on any boat.

Best of luck and welcome to CSR!

Welcome to the group, Paul, lots of great info and people here. Is your Seville a mid-cabin or open bow rider? If a mid-cabin here's an ad for one that may have helpful pictures, two of which show the original sales brochure including specs. My 85 260DA (Sundancer) is a longer version of the boat in the add and I have the same engine/drive as you.

Yw, I like the interior mods/upgrades that seller made, considering them for mine. I'm in Tarpon Springs, FL; where are you located? For your engine, if your in salt water I recommend adding the fresh water cooling kit (also called closed cooling) and stainless steel risers. My engine was replaced in 96 with the 5.7 LX 4 barrel 260 that included those options, 800+ hours of exclusive salt water use and runs like new! Also, if you plan to use an alpha drive, I recently switched from the stock aluminum 3 blade prop to a Powertech OFS4, 4 blade stainless from Ken at Prop Gods (I think he's a member) and like it, shortened time to plane, lower bow rise, stays on plane at a lower speed, and more responsive to input when docking. -Michael

Also, wish I had the walk thru windshield that fellow has, it's a PITA to get to the front of mine, seriously considering finding a way to add something like the to mine. -Michael

I live in oklahoma. All fresh here lol. Having to put a new motor in this one. I bought a 5.7 to replace the 5.0 in it. I have been wondering about the Prop I think a 4 blade would do a lot better in performance. Thanks for that info.
