When we are moored up on shore power our 230 volt sockets in the cabin and cockpit work fine, but when offshore they don’t, is there a switch somewhere to be able to change it or what, thank you from Mallorca.

AC power (whether 110V here in the States or 220V in other places) ONLY works on shore power (or with a genny). If you don't have something SUPPLYING the AC power, then obviously you won't get AC power in the boat.

Unless you bring a r-e-a-l-l-y long extension cord... ;)
