Sharing Route with Others

I bought a Sea Ray 300 Weekender that I need to motor on Lake Erie from North East Marina, PA to Port Clinton, OH. Being new to motor boats, having been a sailor all my life, I have some questions about the trip/boat and one other.

To be the most fuel efficient, but getting where I need to go in a reasonable amount of time, how fast should I go? My trip will include 2 overnight stops with no more than 60 miles between each stop.

How do I share my route and trip progress with others?

For the sharing, use the app OnCourse. It simulates AIS tracking and you can share an internet link. I used to to share my trip to folks here.

You will need an MMSI number to make it work, ideally the one already in your radio.
