I am considering buying an 02' Sundancer 340. What should I look for or be concerned about?
Should I buy this boat?

When we bought our 2002- 310 a few months ago we had no clue what to look for,but when we boarded her the first time after looking at other boats in the same price range, and year, and model , we just had a feeling that this was the boat for us
it was well taken care of....it had only 400 hrs on the engines, it was a one owner. it had all the manuals on board there were nothing that gave us a NO NO feel...After the survey we knew we made the right decision....
NOt knowing squat about boats we just went with our gut feeling and were very happy we did.....

Do a search on the risers in these boats and aluminum manifolds. There was a riser issue which allowed water to enter due to the poor angle. Make sure the boat does not have this set up. Also, there were aluminum manifolds used for a couple years, which will not last. Make sure that they have been replaced with cast iron.
Have the boat hauled out, a full survey done, including a compression test and oil analysis. Do a sea trial as well. Try to get the surveyor to do the sea trial with you. Good luck.

Better stick w/ the your Wellcraft :grin: Looking forward to the trip home it probably won't be as memorable as ours :wow: :smt100, or at least I hope it wont.
