Small Air/hydraulic cylinders?

Does anyone know where to locate these online? I'm looking for something small like the ones used inside the transom locker doors.(the ones that hold the door open). I want to add one to the aft seat storage area. It's a real pain to have to hold it open with one hand and put items away with the other without it coming down. Or maybe even a spring type? Has anyone added this to your seating storage compartments?

West Marine has assorted sizes. I've used my forhead to hold that seat open many times. It is a pita when trying to store the camper in there.

Brian,
I used the cheap way out to solve this problem. Take the metal leg for the cockpit table, place it on the carpet, directly in front of the seat at an angle and it will serve as a prop to hold open the storage area while stowing and retrieving stuff.
