smart craft fuel warning errors

my 2008 44 sundancer has been periodically flashing ' high fuel input " then the port tank goes to zero volume and " critical low fuel " flashes . now the tank shows empty but there clearly is fuel as both engines keep runnning > If I shut off the engines and let them reset the smart craft . some times it is all back to normal ,,, then the cycle begins again . sometimes it does not reset when i shut them down . even when it says critical low fuel and the dash guage and the smart craft show no fuel < the engines keep running fine
is this s common problem and has anyone else had this happen ? is this a Cummins Diesel issue or Searay issues ??? .
any help is appreciatted .. supposed to leave on a trip in ten days ...

well i thought i would advise what was the outcome > it seems there were bad fuel sensors . put in new ones and so far , perfect < they tell me they are now recomeding royce senders , FYI
