I finally put my new to me 290da in the water today. Boat ran well and I loved the extra room ( previously had a 24' sundancer ). Had a couple of issues...the gas gauge just continually jumps around wildly and the temp gauge never moved. The temp gauge worked fine in the driveway on muffs but at the lake it never came up ? I pulled the engine hatch a dozen times to keep an eye on things. I am glad I upgraded to a diesel truck as it is a lot of boat to trailer( especially up the ramp in the rain), but it was actually not much more to deal with than my 24 footer. Here is a pic.....

How much would the gauge go up in almost freezing water?

Nice pic! I can't wait!!

Nice boat! Thanks for sharing a few pics. I could never wait till spring to come when I lived in upstate NY. Glad you got in.

yeah for awhile I thought the water is cold so temp will take awhile to rise...but it never moved all day ? hey Mick & Denise, my last boat was named "one More Toy" !....I saw your post about getting a lift for your 500...wow that is going to be quite a lift.
