Youre rafted up w/a buddy,he's got a generator........Could He take his shore power cord and plug it into your boat and maybe run your lights and/or charge your batteries ??

Yes....if you have the right adapter for the shore power cord.
 
Based on my recollection of the Sea Ray AC wiring diagram, and If we are talking a built in generator, no, not from his shore power plug. His shore power plug should be disconnected from the AC circuitry when his generator is running.


However, you could plug your shore power cord into one of his AC outlets and get AC from him. You probably couldn't get enough amps to run your air con because the outlet wouldn't be heavy enough, but you could charge batteries, have lights, hot waterheater, microwave, etc.

Henry is right except that an outlet plug is limited to 15 amps and I doubt that the circuitry would not allow you to charge your batteries, again this is because of the location of the charger in the circuitry. Everything else on the 120 volt circuit should work. This idea sounds dangerous to me, your draw could over load his circuits and overheat wires.
 
What Henry said. I've had people plug into a GFCI plug on my boat and it is limited to 15A...
