The good folks at Grand Haven Storage splashed the boat yesterday. 9 boats in North Shore Marina counting ours.
Water is definitely down....stirred lots of mud at the launch well. NS Marina will need to do some dredging at the entrance as well....4 foot sounding just through the main entrance channel. Water level close to a foot lower than last year it appears.
Everything fired up well and the reverse cycle heat was most appreciated last night for the first night aboard for the 2011 season.
Perhaps a short Lake Michigan ride over the weekend....
It is great to be back on the water!

I'm thinking of giving Fred a call today to get my boat moved outside. It's been so rainy and cold I've been putting it off.

So stop by when you do that work on your boat and say hello. We will be there every weekend from now on (at least until boat travel weekends start when the water warms up in June). Then we need to burn some fuel! Lots of ports on the bucket list again this year.

Won't be doing Mackinac Island this year but perhaps can throw you a line on the way to Chicago....
Good luck on Tuesday.

Well, I stopped by and spoke to Fred this AM. He needs to move 4-5 boats to get to mine, but thinks he can move it next Friday. Ours is a very easy boat to polish and wax because it's all smooth, relatively flat surfaces. Still, it's 14 hours of labor pretty much nonstop. Your basic two Advil job.

You lucky dogs getting in so quick. I have some work to do on our end before she splashes. Looks like about another 30 days. Zyrex bottom paint, soda blasting, buff and wax and last but not least install the reupholstry work on the vberth that we did over the winter. THEN-we can splash, oh the pain, lol. Hope to meet a few of the local boaters here on the big pond this year

I'm headed to Grand Haven to pick up a 460 from Grand Isle right now. Staying overnight in Saugatuck and back to New Buffalo in the morning. Supposed to be a nice day tomorrow!

Tiara names their Open Series by the length of the water line. The boat next to your's is probably a 29 Open and its overall length is probably around 32-33 feet. Mine is a 32 Open and it's about 38 overall.
