Have a 6CTA8.3M-3 With a Bosch injector pump.
Does anyone have a line on Bosch's recommendations as to the use of additives to ULSD fuel for pump lubrication? If so what type of additive might be recommended?
My local fuel supplier delivers 40+ min. Cetane #2 Diesel, but the fuel delivery company doesn't know if any additional lubricants are added to their off road #2 and advises me to assume no lubricants are added back to replace those scrubbed out with the sulfur.
What is Cummins or the commercial fishermen doing?
I've posed this Q. over on Boatdiesel as well, but I already know most of the experts there scoff at addiitves based on reading passed postings.
Looking for more input. I have my tanks currently treated with Diesel Kleen but am wanting to understand this issue for as many points of view I can garner.
Your help will be appreciated.
