Thoughts on Stern Drive Shower Coolers?

I'm looking at a Mercruiser Alpha Stern Drive Shower Cooler. Guy is selling them on Ebay (see for example auction number 300155592075). Seems these gizmos have a following.

Anyone have thoughts on legitimacy and effectiveness? Worth the money? :huh:

I didn't know that Alpha drives ran that hot like their bravo counterparts. This has been discussed here before, did you try a search?

Are these drive showers available for volvo penta outdrives? I have a Mercruiser but I was just curious. I've searched the web with no luck.
