does anyone trailer their larger, twin inboard boats? One of the things i am looking into before deciding to make an offer on a 33 amberjack is the possibility of transporting and storing it on a trailer. I am currently saving a considerable amount of money each season by not having to pay winter storage and I want to continue that annual savings.

The only ones I have found are equipped with hydraulics and are considerably expensive or are 48+ feet long semi trailers. I'm looking for something that the boat can be dropped on with a travel lift and only driven a couple miles each year.

We trailer our 300 DA every weekend? It's 11 feet wide but once you are used to that, it's no different than any other boat that I've trailered. The proper tow vehicle makes it a piece of cake!

I need a trailer in CA for a 300 sedan bridge. Twin IB. I'm not having much luck finding large trailers for sale. I could always have one built like I've done in the past but it's pricey. If you find any let me know.

Here in Canada you can fabricate your own trailer and even have it legally plated for road use without any safety standards!:wow:

Any regular manufacuture is going to make their trailers road-worthy and pretty, which really jacks up the price. For what you're looking to do, I'd just have a fabricator make one up. I'm sure it would be plenty strong enough but probably butt-ugly. :lol: Ones that I've seen at the marina storage yard haven't even been painted - it would take decades for them to rust to the point of being unsafe due to the thickness of materials used.
