have an older Sea Ray 1976 SRV220 Cuddy with a 233 mercruiser stern drive inboard. The trim sending unit,(older Hydraulic Type) is clogged. Fluid will not pass through the unit to the reverse lock valve. Has anyone ever bypassed the older Hydraulic sending units and if so, have they hadd any problems. I was thinking about running the hydraulic line directly from the pump to the reverse lock valve? Any Suggestions? Thanks
