HUDSON - A boating accident sent two people to the hospital over the weekend.
Investigators say the steering on their boat broke, and the man onboard went back to manually steer with the engine. That's when the boat slammed into a marker.
Danny McKane and Susan Hall were both thrown into the water. McKane slammed into the marker and hurt his arm.
He swam to shore and got a boater to take him back out to find Hall.
She was flown to Bayfront Hospital with head injuries and saltwater in her lungs.
Hmmm first thing shut off the engine, second if your about to hit something I'd probably jump off the boat into the water not go back and try to steer the boat manually.
